Hi there! I'm SunGryphon, AKA Sunny, AKA Phoenix Serenity on the official boards. I'm currently living in Winter Park, hopefully for not TOO much longer but I'll enjoy it while I'm here.
I've been writing and RPing for about 16 years now, but sad to say I've never published anything. I'm really looking forward to the mission creator, as I will finally be able to tell some of my character's stories properly.
I have a lot of my writing on my deviantArt site, as well as my own personal website, Gryphon Hall. Things are probably duplicated but Gryphon Hall has a nicer atmosphere, I think
I'd like to throw out here the idea of possibly having some get togethers for those who are brave enough to meet strangers in person. I was thinking FXShow and MegaCon for sure, but I'd be more than willing to try to make some arrangements for a meet at a Borders or something, as I really enjoy bouncing my ideas off other people.
One thing to consider - There will be a LIMIT to the number of missions you can actually SUBMIT for the general populace. Word is that it's about 5 or 6 at this time. I don't know how solid that information is, but here is something to consider: if you are like me, you have MANY, MANY stories to tell, far more than 5 or 6. If we, as a GROUP, as the OMCC, submit missions that we have helped each other with and flagged as an OMCC mission, we will be able to tell FAR more stories than just the 5 or 6 that we'll be limited to.
Ideally, I'd love to see OMCC missions at the top of the search list. I'd love to see OMCC missions inspired by and co-authored with all of you getting Dev Choice and being at the top of the list.
It's a lofty goal, but as they say - shoot for the moon, and if you miss, you'll still be among the stars.

Welcome SunGryphon!
As this new feature develops, I would also like to shoot the moon with the OMCC. I am enthusiastic about our potential. If we can come together as a group, we can take this by storm.
Personally, I live in Gainesville. I was born and raised in Kissimmee. Most all of my family lives in the Orlando Metro Area, ranging from Maitland, Winter Springs, south to Kissimmee, and as far as Winter Haven.
Orlando can be a stretch to get to for me, but occasionally doable. I like the idea of a group of us getting together. Those details, like any get together, will get hashed out when the time comes.
I have established the focus of the OMCC here, so we can have a foundation that transcends gas prices and I-4 traffic.
As the OMCC is in its first few hours of infancy, we'll see where we end up in this journey.
Transplanted Wisconsinite, I've been around the country but have spent a quarter to third of my life in the Orlando area - stuck up in Mt. Plymouth, unfortunately (unless you golf, you'll probably never hear of it - and even if you do, you might be saying "huh? Where?")
With luck - moving soon, probably closer to Lake Mary or Altamonte. We'll see.
And yeah, I'm curious about that limit, as well. It'd be nice if that were, say, quarterly - there are a lot of stories to tell, and just doing some thumbnails and idea sketching, I've gotten six or seven just today at work. Admittedly, perhaps two or three of those would get completed, but still.
For those who don't know, I'm Kheldarn on the City Of Official Boards, and @Savannah Nightwolf in game.
I was born in Syracuse, NY, but was moved to Ocala, FL around the beginning of 1983. I GTFO in 1993, and came to Gainesville. Went to Tampa for the last half of 1994, back to Blowcala for the first half of 1995, came back to Gainesville, met my wife in 1996, and I have no plans to leave.
I'm very creative, but I have a hard time getting all the crative stuff in my head out and into a form that I can share with others. I'm really looking forward to the Mission Creator, because I discovered with games like Lode Runner, Wolfenstien 3D, and Jetpack, that I have a much easier time expressing that creativity.
I can understand the limitations, but I'm hoping that it's X submitted at a time. Once those have been cleared (either approved to rejected), you can submit up to X more. If they didn't have some kind of limit in place, they'd never be able to get anything else done.
For now, I'm just gonna sit back, wait, watch, and see how things develop.

Wow.
OK. Y'all are a LITTLE bit east of me.
==> Irving TX, with previous stints in Concord CA, Quilcene and Seattle WA, Santa Fe NM, and grew up in lovely high-desert western CO.
Writing: I've posted a little bit to DA (professorblues.deviantart.com) and to the Official Boards. I'd like to do a bit more, but... real life intrudes much too often.

Not sure if you noticed, but this particular section is dedicated to a particular feature we have in the MMORPG City of Heroes and City of Villains called the Mission Architect. As you can see, it's not exactly the lively hopping joint we all imagined it would be. Due to poor implementation and a few design flaws, the Architect opened up a new era of crap and garbage that most of us veteran players washed our hands of for awhile.
It became a powerleveling gackfest for n00bs on an epic scale. Most of the decent stories that we carefully crafted didn't contain the necessary "uberness of XP and rewards" for the majority of the slack-jawed retards that just hump whatever leg they can and drool in the name of "EEEEXXXXPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE!!1!!!!" This has led to several severe nerfs to the AE system that now leaves the actual point of telling stories for a fair reward an impossibility. Now, we have to craft missions that include enemies that are twice as hard for rewards that are roughly half if not 0 of comparable cannon content.
For these reasons, and a general lack of interest after a while, we have all but shut this part of the Manor down. Sun Gryphon alluded to wanting to exclude the Ravenwolf name from this project after I stuck my resources out and personally I could really give a crap who wants to put their name on it at this point.
On a more cordial note, it's good to see you popping by for a visit. See you next time you pass through.
